    Comrie Croft Open Day

Clann Gaidhealach was called to Comrie Croft Open Day to carry out a talk on Scottish History from the period of Robert the Bruce through to Bonnie Prince Charlie. There was a good attendance and everyone wanted to take part in the dressing up. Jim, who was in a Spearman’s uniform that would have been seen at Bannockburn, demonstrated how the spear would have been used. We also demonstrated how the "Feile Mor" or "Great Plaid" was made and the various ways in which it would have been worn. On the day there was music, a raffle with lots of prizes and a wood carver showing of his skills. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Comrie Croft for making us so welcome and look forward to returning in the future.
